Election Commission of India updates the Voter List every year due to new registration and modification in previous voters data. To search name in Voter list again visit National Voters Services Portal which is http://electoralsearch.in/ and select first option which is search your name in Election list. To find name in voter list of your area is not a difficult task because auto generated system do it quickly after entering Epic number along with name, age, date of birth, state, district and assembly constituency details. One can also search name in voter list by entering voter Id card number.
Following details are required for Correction in Voter ID Card Application
Name of the applicant as mentioned in other documents with accurate spelling.
Place of Birth & Date of birth as on 1st January.
Mention State, District, & Village of applicant’s present address
Father’s/Mother’s/Husband’s Name and

Recent passport size Photographs must be pasted on the form in the prescribed format.

Application forms for Voter ID
Form 6 is meant for Inclusion of names for resident’s electors, while the Form 6A is given to include names of overseas voters who are residence of India or work for Government of India. Form 7 is subjected to be filled for any kind of objection on inclusion of names, wherein the Form8 can be submitted to make correction of entries in the Electoral Rolls. Lastly, Form 8A is accepted for Transposition within Assembly.
Make Voter Id Correction Online
To make correction in voter id card online one has to login with epic number/reference number and password. Then by going through previous details, make changes or correction in the form applicable for the same and save it online. Soon application will be uploaded online and an auto-generated email will be sent to the given email address.
Save it for future reference and wait for new Electoral list to be published. Before the election commencing date, you can download the voter id list from the web portal of National Voters Service and can check whether the changes as mentioned by you online has been updated or not.

Again, you will be given a reference receipt that you need to keep with you for vote in case you receive your vote at residence address, on the election day you can directly go to registration center and can take a print out from the government authorized center.
